Dancing in Germany but without my sewing machine so I've been hand sewing: got to keep creating!

That said , anyone who knows me will tell you I have always made little people( will try and find some 'early work' pictures if I can!) : I enjoy the challenge of devising and creating the different patterns bodies and faces, and love seeing them come together into Beings.

The idea of 'Designed by Alice' was that is could be a platform and outlet for all my creations, whatever they may be, and as I am always being asked to sell my beings,  now is the time to buy them!

I don't like making duplicates , I find it hard enough creating my own patterns and sticking to them , so if you fall in love with a little Designed by Alice Being please remember it is the only one and email me first to check that it is still up for adoption!

... I will be taking some more portraits of the 'crew' this weekend and also going in search for some net for a teeny tutu... watch this space and have a good weekend!

In the name of branding I was persuaded to get out from behind the camera and of course if I was going to do so I would have to work with the Wonderful Diana.

So Here you go . To celebrate by new lace fabrics ...

After working with and featuring the lovely Ayako Yamada

I was asked whether I could create a costume for her performances as the Ballerina in Wayne Sleeps national tour. Precious Little Sleep.

Of course I was delighted to be involved, and got drawing, sewing and sourcing materials immediately.

Ayako is now guesting as a principle with Yat Sen Chang in his project at the Espinosa Chute

She loves her bespoke leotard so much that she choose it for the publicity.

Consequently I am delighted that I am now able to share some photos of Ayako in her costume …Designed by Alice.

A Beautiful  dancer and person , I am touched that she is so comfortable and happy in my designs.
