I had a fantastic time working with  Hong Kong Ballet.
They are a lovely, hardworking and talented company and I felt really privileged to be a part of their work..

Hong Kong itself is such a diverse and truly interesting place to be, I was constantly inspired and had so many ‘ideas’ of things to do.
. . . Sadly this time most of these ideas never came to fruition, out east that is. Our schedule was hard and despite my best efforts , there were really not enough hours in the day!

I am however able to show you a snapshot of company life through backstage photos ( have some more serious stage ones to follow!), I have brought back the special HK fabrics , and also some new ones to create the next pieces of DBA dancewear… and there is still a bit more of Hong Kong to share :o)
Kung Hei Fat Choi!
AND may 2012 bring you much happiness and success.

Love traditional games or just bored on tour or hanging about at auditions (ie. hostels and airports?!!!)

. . . On receiving my new business cards I had an idea . They are so lovely I wanted to keep a few of each pattern. I then thought they would be perfect for playing 'pairs' or 'memory' or whatever you want to call it.
I love the game and admittedly got VERY excited , but I understand you may not all know it ( or feel the same!)

So here is my question ... do you think there would be any interest in beautifully printed cards to use for PAIRS , MEMORY, or SNAP?!

They would feature the DBA Dancers and be very travel friendly?! Ax

... there were just SO many to choose from and I felt rather overwhelmed . Unfortunately or , perhaps fortunately for the bank balance, I was limited to how much I could carry and the 23kg baggage allowance. So after carrying 80m of material round Sham shui po I made it back to my place ... only to have to drag it back to the theatre the folwoing day ( MTR all the way ... BIG mistake) and finally (after the addition of much gaffa type and encouragement from fellow dancer Elle) the airport.
Ok , perhaps I went off on a tangent then , but it was for a reason! I want to illustrate just how excited and determined I was to bring you these limited edition fabrics back from Hong Kong. And they are uber special , so email me your request ASAP before they run out!

Don't forget you can order the ones on the website too.
(some of them are looking pretty limited as well!)
